My 7th AP Certificate – Model Railroad Engineer – Electrical

For my 7th AP Certificate I wasn’t sure if I would do Electrical or Motive Power. I already had one out of the three locomotives finished with a Merit Award, a couple other kits started and a scratch-built planned out with the base started. It really wouldn’t take too long to finish the Motive Power. In the end, however, I decided to do Electrical first. One of those loco kits I planned on a requirement for Electrical anyway and about 80% of the rest of the certificate I would say I already had done because without it, Civil couldn’t work. For example, it’s one thing to have the track installed and ballasted but the electrical had to be installed and the blocks with circuit protection set up in order for the trains to run. In order to get Merit Awards for my track work for Civil, they also had to be wired properly. I just had to do the schematics for them for the Electrical Certificate.

Below is the packet I created for Electrical for the SOQ – it is about 4.4 MB so might take a minute to load
