Motive Power was another one of those certificates I figured I would never earn. After all, you have to scratch build a locomotive! Early on when I thought about locomotives I thought about steam engines. Later on I learned about diesels, critters and others. After scratch building some cars the thought occurred to me that a small locomotive could be like a car with power added so it really wasn’t that much different. I needed a “critter” for my next project so it worked out perfectly! Read my NMRA article to find out more information.
